Our Approach to Learning
At Growing Tree School, we follow The Creative Curriculum®, the research-based program recommended by the New Jersey Department of Education for high-quality preschool instruction. This curriculum provides a strong foundation for early learning and supports each child’s growth in a warm, structured, and engaging environment.
Our goal is to help children become independent, self-confident, inquisitive, and enthusiastic learners. Through hands-on experiences and meaningful exploration, children develop important skills while engaging with materials, classmates, and teachers throughout the day.

Learning Through Play
Each classroom is organized into engaging learning centers where children explore, create, and collaborate.
From collaborative play and building to art, science, and reading, these spaces encourage curiosity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning throughout the day.
Assessment & Growth
Supporting Each Child's Growth
We use Teaching Strategies GOLD®, an observation-based assessment system that helps teachers understand each child’s development and tailor learning to their needs. This also allows us to stay connected with families and share each child’s progress throughout the year.
